cbaCAD GmbH is developing cbaCAD xD, a software for planning building envelopes that is integrated into BricsCAD, AutoCAD and Advance Steel. It offers automated laying and parts lists, as well as the QLi3D method, which converts 2D sections into 3D models. This method enables efficient transformation between 2D and 3D, which saves planners a considerable amount of time. The software is not only suitable for lightweight metal construction but also specifically for facade planners and supports BIM-compliant planning. A direct interface to Revit has been implemented.
