David Shepherd is the Digital Product Manager for the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal. Previously, he served as BIM Leader for the House of Commons and, prior to that, led an international consulting team at Autodesk implementing digital construction solutions for major contractors including Balfour Beatty, BAM Kier, Heijmans, Goldbeck, NCC, and Skanska.

As BIM Manager for HOK London, he was commissioned by the RIBA to write the internationally best-selling BIM Management Handbook. His project credentials span some of the world’s most prestigious construction programmes, including Al Mafraq Hospital (Abu Dhabi), LG Science Park (South Korea), and Papworth Cardiac Hospital (Cambridge, UK).

A technology pioneer, David has deployed Azure Digital Twins through his Twin-Genius initiative and is an authorised Microsoft Power Apps developer. With over 20 years of real-world BIM delivery experience, he is a highly rated speaker at international conferences including Digital Construction Week, London Build, and Autodesk University.
