William graduated from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and joined Scotrenewables Tidal Power in 2008 as a design engineer, progressing to the role of structural and mechanical engineer. William has extensive experience in CAD and FEA. In 2015 he played a key role in the construction of SRTP’s 500 tonne 2MW tidal turbine, co-managing areas such as: production engineering, fabrication, quality control, resource management, planning and build sequencing. He is now involved in various key design areas of the tidal turbine project, as well as planning, engineering integration, and management of industrial partners.
