Bringing over 30 years of experience working in the Canadian oil and gas sector, Irene Radcliffe is well versed in the challenges faced by engineering companies to adapt and stay current in a fast-changing world of technology. Irene has held many roles in the AEC industry, including Senior Piping Designer, Pipeline Construction Coordinator, CAD Manager, and Technical Consultant. Irene’s extensive knowledge of engineering design tools brought her to the attention of Autodesk, when she was invited to be part of a team of 15 industry specialists who helped Autodesk develop and test their Plant 3D software during its initial releases.
With a deep knowledge of both Autodesk products and AEC industry practices, Irene then joined the Autodesk reseller channel, where she worked as a Technical Consultant, supporting Autodesk clients across Canada. Having worked with laser scanning during its infancy, Irene understood the many benefits of reality capture and began to develop solutions for clients who wished to introduce laser scanning technology into their existing engineering workflows.
In April 2017, Irene joined FARO to bring her industrial AEC experience to the FARO team and has since been dedicated to the awesome world of reality capture. In addition to her current dual role of Senior Business Development Manager, and Product Manager for AEC software, Irene has planned and executed a number of prolific scanning projects, including an entire aircraft carrier, a space shuttle and a number of film and TV sets.
In her spare time, Irene scans… pretty much everything!
